Facts About Bulk Material Delivery

For a small landscaping project, you can often guess how many bags of fill dirt, rock or top soil you will need. For larger projects--from residential driveways and hardscaping to baseball fields, and seawalls--the benefits of bulk delivery include not only a better price for the materials, but better prices for the cost of the delivery of the materials. Bulk material delivery is calculated in cubic yards and tonnage.

Cubic Yards = Length FT x Width FT x Height Ft divided by 27.

STEPS:

1. Convert all measurements to feet
2. Multiply to find the volume in cubic feet
3. Divide the result by 27 to get the volume in cubic yards

That depends on what sort of material you are using.  When we deliver your bulk dirt or rock, we will place it as close as possible to the area in which it will be used.  Sometimes a tractor or other heavy duty equipment will be needed to efficiently spead the product.
